Don’t Forget to Read!

Reading is a learned skill that must be practiced daily. If a child doesn’t read over the summer break, their reading skills will be rusty. When school starts back, they will struggle to catch up with their classmates who did practice over the summer. Students should read everyday, either with their parents, to their parents, or have their parents read to them! Check with your local library. Many libraries have free story times available for kids of all ages.
